I have a motorhome on a 2005 ducato 2.0 JTD. The hand book says Tutela Matryx along with the specification API GL 5. Only problem is tutela matryx is API GL4. I have never had a vehicle with as much confused info as this. The Castrol website recommends an API GL4 spec in Castrol universal plus but quotes a capacity of 2.1 litres. First post on the forum Did not want to start a separate thread for this, since it also concerns Ducato 2.8 JTD transmission drain plug. The rear brakes on these models can be quite 'snatchy' on the handbrake if incorrectly adjusted and a good shamfer on the leading edge of the rear brake shoes helps to minimise the problem. When adjusted properly they work really well and will easily hold our 3.5t motorhome on steep inclines.
No doubt with your lovely climate a different viscosity would be needed. As long as the specs meet or exceed the Selenia Turbo Diesel any good quality oil should be OK. Take note of the ACEA & API ratings of the oil.
